Die Facharbeit befasst sich mit den historischen Ereignissen und den politischen Strukturen in Großbritanniens Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. In der Facharbeit wird zum Beispiel erläutert, welche Rolle die Kolonisation für die britische Geschichte hatte oder wie sich Großbritannien zu einer Republik entwickelt hat. Des Weiteren wird das politische System in Britannien näher thematisiert und auch die Rolle der Königin wird genauer untersucht.

Colonisation:
One of the most important part of the British history is the Colonisation. The intention of it was the expansion of trade which brings a economic profit. Also they had thereby a politic control with which they had the control about the religion beliefs. That was important because the church had a big mastery at this time. And at least the Colonisation was a status symbol for the British.
First British Empire:
The victory over Spanish Armada in 1588 made England the world's number one sea power. This paved the way for the acquisition of more and more colonies. In the 17th century navigators and settlers, such as Sir Francis Drake, colonised the New World (North America and the Caribbean). The driving forces were the commercial and the military interests.
