Living out the American Dream

The American dream states that everybody has a chance of success, no matter their point of origin, as long as they work hard enough for it. But what happens if you finally reach the goal? If you achieve the impossible and get to live out the American dream, is the goal really worth the price to pay? Or does the means to stay on top come at too high a price?

In my paper I want to explore what it means to live out the American Dream and the price it always take to get there. I want to give an example of a person in America, who fulfilled the American dream but who also had to pay a heavy price to stay on top. As the word goes “nothing in life is ever free” and no dream can be reached without sacrifices. Of course there are a multitude of aspects that form what we know as The American Dream and that in itself is an aspect worthy of exploring. There are many aspects or versions, if you will, of The American Dream and no matter how hard you search you can never find two people to whom the American dream are the same...
